Dubai 28th NOV 2009 : Billawas Dubai &
Northern Emirates, one of the largest and prestigious
organization of Billawas in the Middle East
presented an spectacular event to be remembered
to celebrate their 12th anniversary at the Zabeel
Ballroom, Raddisson BLU, Deira Creek yesterday
where a record number of more than 1200 invitees
gathered to witness the event.
Dubai 29th Nov 2009: Dr. Sankamar mesmerized
audience with his powerful speech at a dinner
party hosted by Billawas Dubai & NE in the
honor of visiting guests from India.
Dr. Sankamar talked about our culture and how
important it is for the younger generation to
preserve our culture. He gave glimpses of his
in-depth knowledge on tulu language through
tulu folk songs

EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP & MEDICAL AID.
Mangalore,
August 16th , 2009: Around 228 deserving students
pursuing Medical, Nursing, Engineering and other professional
courses, received educational scholarships under the
benevolent patronage of the Billawas Dubai and Northern
Emirates (BDNE) on August 16th, 2009.
Around 700 people attended this competently organized
function at the magnificent “Vishwanatha Kalyana
Mantapa”, Shree Kshethra Kudroli, Mangalore.

Total donations made by Billawas
Dubai & NE towards various noble cause amounts
to Rs 32,80,545 (Rs Thirty Two Lac Eighty Thousand
and Five Hundred Forty Four). The break up summary
of the total donation is as under.
Billawas Dubai has donated Rs. 15,65,325 (Sixteen
Lacs Sixty Five Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Five)
to 369 students towards Education Scholarship and
Educational Institutions.
Rs. 9,51,400 (Nine Lac Fifty One Thousand Four Hundred)
donated to 6 widows who lost their husband.
Rs 6,87,500 (Rs Six Lac Eighty Thousand Five Hundred)
donated to 31 poor patients towards medical help.
Rs.65,000 (Sixty Five Thousand) donated to 2 poor
people towards house construction.
Rs11,320 (Eleven Thousand Three Hundred twenty) as
other donations.
Dubai, Feb 20: Billawas Dubai & NE a,
leading charity and community organization in Dubai
formed new working committee to run its affairs for
the next two years at their Annual General Body meeting
(AGM) held at Fish Parade Restaurant Bur Dubai.
The meeting was started with Prayer followed by
presentation of income & expense statement for
the current year by treasurer Vittal Poojary. The
report was duly accepted by all the members.

DUBAI COMMITTEE SANCTIONS RS 7,63,000 TOWARDS EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
AND MEDICAL HELP.
DUBAI
15th Aug 2010 : Billawas Dubai & NE will be distributing
around Rs 7,63,000 (RS Seven Lac Sixty Three Thousand) towards
education scholarship to poor and deserving students and Medical
help to poor patients on 22nd August 2010.
The
Annual Scholarship function will be held at Adhyaksha Koragappa
Memorial Hall , Kudroli, Mangalore. The main function will
start at 10AM and expected finish at 1:30 PM. Lunch will
be served to all the invitees.
This
year there are 232 students with 34 Engineering Students,
4 Medical, 1 BHMS, 1 IAS, PG 8, Degree 106, PUC 56,
SSLC below 19, Blind Student 1.
On the
same day 8 poor patients will receive medical help for their
treatment so that they can lead a normal life.
This
year Billawas Dubai & NE will also be felicitating 4
students for their brilliant performance with cash awards
and certificates.
Billawas
Dubai & NE is constantly trying to introduce procedures
so that the help reaches students who are in real need of
our support.
The
procedure for education scholarship application is explained
below. We request all parents and students, Various Billawa
Organisations applying for education scholarship to follow
the procedures given below otherwise their applications
will not be considered.
