The
pooja ceremony was attended by over 750 people of
all caste, creed and religion along with the community
leaders of various associations in UAE.
The programme started at
around 10 AM with Bhajans and devotional songs rendered
by enthusiastic three groups namely Divya Nada Tarangini,
Sri Narayana Bhajana Mandali Jebel Ali and Sri Raja
Rajeshwari Bhakta Vrinda Bhajan Group.
The members of these groups rendered melodious bhajans.
It was so nice to see those gulf born Kannadiga
children singing regional devotional songs with
keen interest and dedication transcribing the regional
language songs scripts in English
Lighting of
the main lamp and clay lamps were conducted by all
the lady members of BDNE. Shree Narayna Guru's statue
was nicely decorated with flowers . There were also
fruits, colourful lights and even tulasi. A row
of thali laden with flower, fruits, and Guru's photo
was also kept in a row for those who offered special
pooja.
Raghu Bhat
performed the pooja explaining the importance of
Guru and his teachings, while Deepak & Jyothi
Deepak who was chosen to perform the pooja rituals
on behalf f of all the Committee Members of Billawas
Dubai & Northern Emirates, accepted the pooja
offerings.
The pooja
ceremony went on till 2.00PM while the bhajans were
also simultaneously continuing until Maha Mangalarathi.
Later people queued voluntarily in line to offer
their prayers, have darshan and accept the prasadam
of the Guru pooja. Participating guests were honoured
on the stage for their dedication.
Mahaprasadam
was distributed at the end of the pooja with sumptuous
buffet vegetarian lunch.
The function
was well executed by BDNE cultural team led by Satish
Ullal. The cultural team was well assisted by all
the members of the BDNE committee.
