Dubai : 26th August 2009 : Education is very important since it is the knowledge of putting one’s potentials to maximum use. Training of human mind is not complete without education. Education makes man think right. and helps him/her to make decision.

Through the attainment of education, one can receive information from the external world; to acquaint himself/herself with past history and receive all necessary information regarding the present.

Unfortunately not everyone has an opportunity to receive this formal type of education. There are not enough resources to provide schooling. Furthermore because parents need their children to help them work in factories, have odd jobs, or just do farm work due to financial burden.

But no matter what, education is the key that allows people to move up in the world, seek better jobs, and ultimately succeed fully in life. Education is very important, and no one should be deprived of it.

Billawas Dubai & NE has taken a bold initiative to help poor children of our community pursue their chosen field of education so that they become responsible citizens of our country.

This education scholarship floated by our organization, is an assurance from us to these poor & needy children that they can concentrate on their studies without worrying about their school fee and progress in their life.

This year Billawas Dubai & NE will be distributing education scholarship ranging from Rs 3000 to 20,000 to 240 students studying various courses like Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, Technical Course, Various Degree courses, Pre-University etc.

Scholarship Function will be held on 16th August 2009 at Glass House, Shree Kshethra Kudroli Complex in Mangalore. Following Chief guest will attend the function Shri Vikyathananda Swamiji, Shri Jaya C. Suvarna (President Billawa Maha Mandala),Shri Ganesh Amin (Professor ST. Aloysius College), Shri Sairam (President Shree Kshethtra Kudroli), Shri Vishwanath Amin (Trustee Guru Narayana Charitable Trust).

Members of Guru Narayana Charitable Trust have done a tremendous work by visiting homes of each and every student to make sure that the education help reaches the deserving and needy students. We are grateful to Shri Chennakeshava and Yogesh for their effort.

Representatives from various Billawas Sanghas in and around Mangalore and Udupi district will be attending this function.

List of all students selected for scholarship will be published in this site along with the amount anctioned.
